The Public Intern Program (PIP)provides City Colleges of Chicago graduates with a one-year fellowship at Civic Consulting Alliance. Fellows are full-time employees of Civic Consulting for one year starting in January. You will work alongside Civic Consulting and public sector staff to make Chicago a great, global city.

Are you eligible?

PIP Fellowships are open to students graduating from City Colleges with an Associates Degree (AA/AS) in any course of study.  Students who are in their final semester at CCC or have graduated within the past six months may apply to PIP.

Applicants must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher, at least one year of work experience, and a passion for making a difference in the City of Chicago.

As a PIP Fellow, you must be eligible to work in the United States.

What will you gain from the program?

PIP is a valuable learning experience no matter what your area of study was at CCC or what career path you are considering.  It is an opportunity for you to interact with private and public sector leaders across the city.

As a PIP Fellow, you are paired with a member of the Civic Consulting management team, who serves as your mentor, and you will work with a diverse group of consultants and fellows across the organization.

In addition, regular seminars with leaders from across Chicago are part of the fellowship year. These seminars feature speakers from both the public and private sectors, and provide a chance to meet and learn from those who have and are shaping our city.  The seminars help you build valuable skills for your future career.

Fellows  receive an annual stipend of $28,000, plus benefits.

How do Fellows Apply?

To complete an application, you should submit a cover letter, resume, and 3 references (academic or work-related) to your college’s Vice President’s office by 5 p.m.  November 1st, 2012.
