Belinda S.Y. Li

Belinda Li joined Civic Consulting Alliance as an Associate Principal in 2010.

Prior to joining Civic Consulting, she worked as Senior Associate in the Chicago office of McKinsey & Company (a global management consulting firm) from 2008 to 2010.  While at McKinsey, Belinda advised clients from across various sectors, including two non-profit clients, as well as clients in the retail, consumer product goods, healthcare and automotive sectors. Her functional experiences at McKinsey spanned strategy, marketing, operations and knowledge development.

Prior to McKinsey, Belinda worked for over 5 years at GE Healthcare in various roles, ranging from research scientist to R&D strategic manager, and she also spent over 3 years in academia research.

While at Civic Consulting, Belinda works primarily on environmental projects, working closely with the Chicago Department of Environment and the Chief Sustainability Officer in the implementation, performance measurement, and continuous improvement of the Chicago Climate Action Plan (CCAP) as well as in linking CCAP with economic development and job creation in Chicago.

Originally from Hong Kong, Belinda received her M.B.A. degree from University of Chicago Booth School of Business, and her Ph.D. degree in Medical Physics from University of London, UK.  She also holds a Bachelor degree in Physics from University of Oxford, UK.
