Ellyn Robinson
Experienced Civic Fellow
Ellyn joined Civic Consulting Alliance as an Experienced Civic Fellow in 2010.
As a fellow, Ellyn worked with the Chicago Department of Business Affairs and Consumer Protection to educate and protect consumers and to improve housing conditions in Chicago. Specifically, she developed:
- Consumer’s guide to purchasing a condominium or a townhome
- Disclosure summary to educate and protect purchasers and owners of condominiums
- Condominium registration program to enable the City of Chicago to identify and track future condominium development.
Prior to joining Civic Consulting, Ellyn’s experience as an attorney included representing individuals and businesses ranging from small, family-owned businesses to Fortune 100 companies. Her legal experience included working for law firms, a corporation, and running her own legal practice.
While in law school, Ellyn clerked in the Law Department of the City of Chicago and the Illinois Attorney General’s office.
Ellyn received a J.D. from Washington University and an A.B. in History from the University of Michigan. Ellyn is licensed to practice law in Illinois and Michigan.
