Lincoln J. Chandler
Dr. Lincoln Chandler joined Civic Consulting Alliance in November 2009 as an Associate Principal. He provided guidance on strategy and operations to various local organizations, primarily in the education sector. Clients included: The City Colleges of Chicago; Graduate Chicago; and the Chicago Police Department.
Previously, Lincoln worked at McKinsey and Company, advising commercial and nonprofit clients on topics ranging from purchasing strategy to long-term economic development.
In the education space, Lincoln has pursued several personal and professional endeavors.
- As a Education Pioneers fellow, he worked with Jobs for the Future (JFF) to devise an evaluation framework for a national network of school developers.
- As a graduate student, he led a study of acheivement trends in Oak Park (IL) elementary schools, and worked with Massachusetts General Hospital on the design of interactive case studies for clinicians
- Over the past several years, he ha also worked as a teaching assistant and tutor, teaching math to elementary, undergraduate, and graduate school learners.
Lincoln earned SM and PhD degrees in Operations Research from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology . While there, Lincoln was designated a National Science Foundation Fellow. Lincoln is also a graduate, summa cum laude, of Florida A&M University, where he majored in Computer and Information Sciences. A Chicago native, Lincoln currently lives in North Lawndale.
