Peter Petropoulos

Peter joined Civic Consulting Alliance as a Civic Fellow in 2012 as the first ever Joyce Foundation-Civic Consulting Fellow. As an MBA student at the University of Chicago's Booth School of Business, Peter will help the Joyce Foundation and CCA to:

• Perform a competitive analysis of Chicago vs. other conference destinations in terms of sustainability, with the overarching goal of uncovering the city's potential as a sustainable event leader.
• Scan other municipal government initiatives or ordinances related to green conventions/meetings and prepare a summary of best practices.
• Identify the market demand and potential for sustainable conferences/events and the benefit to Chicago of being a "hub" for them, including recomendations on areas for improvement.

Prior to this Fellowship, Peter has worked in a consulting capacity at increasingly strategic areas for an array of corporate and non-profit organizations including PepsiCo, The Environmental Defense Fund, Ace Hardware, The Gap, and Feeding America. Peter is a life long Chicagoan and received a B.S. in Commerce from DePaul University.
