The Chicago Public Schools Energy Efficiency project provided actionable recommendations to reduce energy consumption in schools.
Civic Consulting Alliance and IBM Corporation worked together to:

  • Identify barriers to implementing energy efficiency techniques

  • Develop a set of behavioral recommendations for schools to implement

  • Recommend a framework to monitor and enforce changes

    In 2010, Chicago Public Schools launched the Energy Shared Savings program to encourage schools to save energy by sharing the financial savings with those schools.
