Project Description:
The Tax Division of the Chicago Department of Revenue is the City's largest revenue operation, responsible for administering $1 billion in tax revenue and auditing business.
To increase productivity and effectiveness, in 2006 Civic Consulting Alliance introduced a data-driven, risk-based approach to audit selection and auditor performance reviews.
As a result, productivity increased 10% in the first year (assessments per auditor) and effectiveness by 25% (revenue generated).
