Graduate Chicago

In December 2009, Graduate Chicago (previously the Chicago Alliance on the Dropout Crisis) asked Civic Consulting to lead the startup and launch of this new entity. Graduate Chicago's mission is to increase the graduation rate in Chicago 50% by 2020 by focusing on at risk and disconnected youth. Civic Consulting will help develop Graduate Chicago's strategy, establish a governance and operating model, and create a model to sustain the organization to achieve its mission.  

Chicago was selected in 2009 as a Feature Community by America's Promise Alliance, with the formation of Graduate Chicago as the result to carry out the mission under the Featured Community program. Graduate Chicago has convened community organizations, social service groups, and the Chicago Public Schools and the Mayor's Office in an effort to align efforts to increase the graduation rate.
