Project Description:

Chicago’s streets and parkways are lined with a forest of over half a million trees.  But forests need upkeep, and some streets in Chicago are lined with trees that may not have been trimmed in a decade.  This creates a potential safety hazard and unsightly neighborhood boulevards.

The Monitor Group and Civic Consulting Alliance assisted the City’s Bureau of Forestry in establishing a program to trim each city parkway tree (520,000 trees in total) on an industry-standard interval to help maintain a healthy, safe, and appealing urban forest.
