School Support Centers
Client:
Chicago Public Schools
Practice Area:
Project Year:
2011
Project Description:
Chicago Public Schools will create new School Support Centers to connect principals to administrative and facilities services. The Centers are part of the new CPS administration’s effort to give principals and schools the operational resources and support that they need to be able to devote their time to improving student achievement.
The new School Support Centers will consolidate new and existing school support functions, all accessible through a single phone number, to quickly connect principals and school staff to support services. New delivery standards have been established to ensure schools receive appropriate responses within acceptable time periods.
These Centers are part of a larger work led by Civic Consulting Alliance and our partners over a four-month period.
“We received focused attention and exceptional guidance on how to best implement a new model of delivering operational support to our schools,” said Tim Cawley, Chief Administrative Officer for Chicago Public Schools.
