Trenati Baker

Summer Program Assistant

Trenati is supporting Civic Consulting Alliance’s Internal Operations team as a Summer Program Assistant. Trenati is a rising senior at Amherst College where she is majoring in Black Studies and Political Science. Her passion for these subjects coupled with her own lived experiences as a black woman from the South Side of Chicago contribute to her interest in Civic Consulting Alliance’s Chicago-focused mission.

Prior to Civic Consulting Alliance, Trenati held a variety of positions. In high school, she interned as a business analyst at Salesforce. She also served as a journalist and financial literacy ambassador with On the Money Magazine. At Amherst, Trenati has worked as a resident counselor, research assistant, tour guide, and a diversity intern. As a diversity intern, she plans Amherst’s Diversity Open House weekends, welcoming students from marginalized and underrepresented backgrounds, sharing her experiences, and providing information about campus resources.

After graduating from Amherst, Trenati is interested in careers in law, business school, finance, or consulting. She is excited to have the opportunity to work with Civic Consulting Alliance’s staff and to learn about their professional experiences. Outside of work and school, Trenati enjoys dance and choreography, as well as travel. She previously studied abroad in Trinidad, and looks forward to her upcoming fall semester, when she’ll have the opportunity to study in New York City, Buenos Aires, Barcelona, and Cape Town.
