Marie is a Development Senior Associate at Civic Consulting Alliance. She joined the organization as Associate, Development and Communications in January 2019.

Prior to joining Civic Consulting Alliance, Marie served as Donor Services Manager at the Community Foundation of Utah, a pillar of Utah’s philanthropic community that supports the state through grantmaking, thought leadership, and nonprofit capacity building programs. There, she managed grantmaking processes and stewarded the foundation’s donors and fund advisors. Marie began her career in the social sector as Communications and Development Manager at Working Bikes, a nonprofit that gives used bicycles new life by redistributing them as tools of empowerment in Chicago, Central America, and Africa. As Working Bikes’ first operations staff person, she built administrative systems to support its continued growth.

Marie is passionate about her hometown of Chicago and understanding the social forces that shape it. She earned her B.A. in English from Grinnell College, and her M.A. in Social Science at the University of Chicago. In her free time, Marie loves to bake, travel, sing, read, and ride her bike.
