Hamza Jilani

Analyst

Hamza graduated from the University of Chicago in 2024 with a bachelor’s degree in Economics and Political Science and a minor in Environmental and Urban Studies. At UChicago, Hamza led UChiVotes, a voter engagement initiative at the Institute of Politics.

Previously, Hamza worked at the Office of the Mayor office, reporting to the Deputy Mayor for Economic and Neighborhood Development and working closely with the Community Safety Coordination Center, and also served as a health justice organizer with Southside Together.

Hamza currently serves on the Illinois Juvenile Justice Commission's Youth Advisory Board and enjoys playing bass guitar and zine-making.
