Amanda Paz

Amanda is an Associate Principal at Civic Consulting Alliance. She joined the organization as a Senior Associate in September 2019.

Prior to joining Civic Consulting Alliance, Amanda was the School Improvement Planning Manager at Chicago Public Schools. During her time there, she moved the school-level strategic planning tool, called the CIWP, from a compliance activity to a valuable practice driving the work of the entire district. Previously, Amanda was a Campus Director at High Jump Chicago, a nonprofit organization working to equalize access to excellent high schools for determined middle school students. Amanda began her career in schools and spent 10 years directly serving students and their families, first in Newark, NJ and then in Chicago’s Humboldt Park and Englewood neighborhoods.

Amanda earned her Bachelor’s degree from Illinois Wesleyan University and a Master's degree from the University of Chicago’s School of Social Service Administration. She is a proud Chicago Public Schools graduate and enjoys exploring neighborhoods in the city by way of excellent restaurants.
