Meredith is a Principal at Civic Consulting Alliance where she leads the Safety & Justice platform, serving local government clients and cross-sector partnerships who are focused on making the Chicago region a safe and just place for all through police reform and accountability, community-based violence interventions and justice system reform.

Prior to joining Civic Consulting Alliance in 2017, she spent five years at the City Colleges of Chicago. She most recently served as the Senior Associate Vice Chancellor for Workforce and Academic Strategy. In this role, she provided strategic direction and support for district-wide implementation of City Colleges’ College to Careers initiative, including alignment of career program offerings with the needs of the local economy, employer engagement in program design and delivery, and student career planning and placement services.

Prior to City Colleges, Meredith worked in both social policy research and administration. She served in the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services supporting timely and transparent implementation of Recovery Act programs including new health information technology and career pathways programs. Meredith also managed survey data for the Cape Area Panel Study, a longitudinal survey of youth in Cape Town, South Africa focused on understanding education, employment and family outcomes in the transition to adulthood of youth in post-apartheid South Africa.

Meredith holds a bachelor’s degree in economics and French from the University of Michigan and a master’s degree in public policy from the University of Chicago. She lives in Avondale with her husband and two children.
